The parlour is very middle class Victorian and used as a room for the family to gather for tea, cards, or reading. All the books are individually made as is most of the furnishing although one or two knick knacks have been either given to me by friends or bought because of my own childhood memories of my fathers childhood home in Edinburgh and indeed of my own in Surrey.
